A short documentary portrait of Naomi Dalsbø and her connection to the ocean.

I had known Naomi for years and wanted to make a film about her love of surfing. In 2023, I stayed with her family on the farm where she lives to document that part of her world. Sjøen grew out of that time together—a personal portrait rooted in friendship, everyday life and the pull of the sea.
